29" (73.66 cm) tall. Commissioned by my parents in 1995, this was carved from a single piece of spaulted birch that came from a tree in their yard.

I have a great respect fot the message "Make me an instrument of thy peace". I really wanted to catch an aspect of peace within this sculpture and yet convey slightly the feeling of moving forward.(as in into the future)

I started this in my basement and then finished it at the O'Connell studio in 1996.
I finally completed it in 1996 and it is a real joy to go over to my parents house and see it again.
