I finally completed it in 1996 and it is a real joy to go over to my parents house and see it again. (right) "Y2K" Bruce and Norma Dickau have been very generous with their time and energy and more and I gave them this as a small token of what I feel I truly owe them |

(left) "Bird of Prey" Made of spaulted maple, this is one of the first pieces I made when I went to work for Joe O'Connell. (right) This one of two faces and a date that I carved for the recital organ at St. John's University. One had a figure with his hands over his ears, this one is stifling a laugh. They are made of red oak. I'll try to get a picture of the other one soon. |

(left) "lamp Base" is carved from spaulted maple, a leaf theme. I didn't make the shade. (right)St. Norbert (1998) was carved from an odd scrap of mahogany that I got from Joe O'Connell. I spent too much time on this one and the person who commissioned it couldn't pay the price so we decided that I would be the owner. |
